Our Calling...

To advance the gospel of Jesus & his kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of labourers living and discipling among the lost

Who are we?

The Navigators is a world-wide organisation working in more than 100 countries with the commitment to help individuals and communities of believers to know Christ and make him known.

In the early 1930's a timber yard worker in California called Dawson Trotman began helping a young sailor in the principles of Christian discipleship. They spent many hours praying and studying the Bible. The young sailor introduced a friend to Daws, "Teach him what you have taught me." "You teach him" was the reply. That was the beginning of The Navigators.

The UK Navigators have been investing in the lives of people for more than 50 years. As an international, interdenominational mission agency we are committed to helping people individually and in small groups to fulfil 2 Timothy 2:2 - to teach and model what they have learned by passing it on to others.

Within the UK we are currently helping people to live out and pass on the gospel in a variety of contexts and situations, which include:

  • With university and college students through our Student Ministries (studentNAVS)
  • By serving local churches through Intentional Disciplemaking Church and other initiatives
  • Providing help and encouragement for individuals who share a passion for discipling within their relational networks to be disciples in all of life, for the rest of life and from life to life
  • Through LifeNET networking graduates after university

In addition to ministering within the UK, we are committed to sending trained workers overseas.
Our diverse work is united around our calling:
To advance the gospel of Jesus and his kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of labourers living and discipling among the lost.
